Famous yoga and fitness studio DANCING MIND is looking for a self-motivated, passionate individual with high energy and an entrepreneurial spirit to be our Director of Studio Experience (General Manager position).  

Our Director of Community Experience/General Manager is hired to INSPIRE, EMPOWER, TRANSFORM and CONNECT. They truly have a passion for building community, and transforming lives. They have the overall responsibility for effectively managing all facets of the studio to include customer satisfaction, effective staff recruitment and selection, proper training of the staff, personnel issues, sales and membership solicitation, facility cleanliness while ensuring the studio is achieving projected sales goals as well as all other established goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, energetic environment
  • Lead team to achieve total fitness experience for all members
  • Manage all facets of the business to include sales, fitness and gym operations
  • Oversee sales process and systems
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate the performance of all studio-related managers
  • Hire, train and schedule all front desk staff
  • Delegate, monitor, and evaluate specifically assigned responsibilities of sales team
  • Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service through personal actions and development of staff
  • Facilitate and monitor company-wide initiatives
  • Provide effective decision making in regard to customer service issues
  • Ensure facility is clean and operationally sound
  • Plan and promote special events for the studio on a regular basis to drive member engagement, using studio marketing as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five years of related management experience
  • Understanding of performance metrics including P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance
  • Strong sales focus and ability to drive revenues
  • Strong customer service orientation with proven results
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred

SCHEDULE: Part-time / Full-time, Flexible Availability Required.

  • Prospect new clients and sell memberships

  • Host events and workshops for in-studio and out-studio lead generation
  • Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, renewals and ancillary service goals
  • Serve and work closely with Members to earn their referrals, building a loyal clientele.
  • Educate guests on studio services and products.
  • Conduct pre-planned strategic outreach, for securing member referrals
  • Build rapport and lasting relationships with prospective and current members
  • Maintain knowledge of and participate in all studio services, programs, and products

POSITION: Little Pretzels Playroom Attendant

SCHEDULE: Full-time, flexible schedule. Morning, evenings, weekend shifts available.

The Dancing Mind Kids Playroom Attendant ensures that the Playroom delivers a safe and positive member experience.

  • Responsible for delivering OUTSTANDING customer service; contribute to running a clean, friendly and well maintained studio, and executing the team member basics of being on time and complying with the dress code
  • Provides a safe, fun and interactive environment to children using the DM Playroom
  • Conducts all activities in a positive and professional manner
  • Follows all DM Playroom policies and procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise activities of all assigned children and ensures child remains in designated area
  • Provide child care to children including paging parent/guardian if necessary to assist with discipline issues and attending to personal needs (i.e., diaper changing)
  • Participate and entertain children with games or other approved activities
  • Administer first aid to children in accordance with company policy
  • Report any incidents to Director of Community Experience
  • Report all member complaints to Director of Community Experience
  • Report any child health concerns to Director of Community Experience so a Health Alert may be posted if required
  • Responsible for general cleaning duties in DM Playroom including disinfecting toys
  • Ensure parent/guardian completes and signs the DM Playroom Sign In Form when checking in and checking out children
  • Ensure proper payment is received for the use of DM Playroom

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6 Months to 10 years old child care experience preferred
  • Patience in dealing with children and customers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Energetic and Friendly

CERTIFICATIONS/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) from an approved organization
  • Must complete DM Orientation training prior to beginning DM Playroom Attendant training
  • Must complete DM Playroom Attendant training prior to working alone in DM Playroom

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk, talk and hear
  • Use hands to climb or balance
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

COMPENSATION: Hourly

POSITION: Part-time, flexible schedule

We are looking for a team player to provide excellent customer service to our guests and communicate clearly our mission, studio services and products.  This is a part-time customer service and sale position. Daily/Weekly/Monthly sales goals are set to achieve.

Desired Qualifications:

1yrs.+ Sales Experience
Must be available nights and weekends.
Posses strong computer skills
Strong, verbal written communication skills
Is highly organized and detail-oriented
Reliable access to motorized transport/car
Fitness industry experience is a plus

Are you a successful group fitness trainer with an Indoor Group Cycle certification who is looking to teach at one of the best boutique studios in DC? Our fast growing fitness facility with is offering this great opportunity!

We are currently looking for passionate, reliable, motivating instructors with GREAT presence to join our Ride team!  Our facility trains clientele in Yoga, Cycle and CrossFit, and we have been voted four times best of Falls Church.

Qualifications
Spin, Schwinn, or other indoor group cycle certification

Skills Required:
Team Player
Excellent Presentation
Ability to engage and connect with people

Training Required:
Spin, Schwinn, or other indoor group cycle certification
Not required, but a plus: Nationally accredited training certifications (ACSM, NSCA, NASM, USAW, ACE, CSCS, etc)

Qualifications:
Required: Yoga, weights, and/or general group fitness certification

Not required, but a plus: Nationally accredited training certifications (e.g., ACSM, NASM, etc.); Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour teacher training program; familiarity with the Baptiste Yoga sequence

Responsibilities:

Be passionate about building community and transforming lives through fitness instruction.

Instruct classes using the Baptiste sequence, a variety of teaching methods, motivating delivery, and charismatic presence.

Plan fun and engaging classes, incorporating a variety of music and movements.

Teach proper alignment to maintain a safe learning environment, and provide modifications and amplifications to accommodate and challenge various fitness levels.

Engage and connect with students before, during, and after classes.

Provide fantastic customer service by addressing member feedback and concerns in a timely manner.

Welcome and implement feedback from instructors and students.

Promote Dancing Mind workshops and programs.

Adhere to Dancing Mind policies and be a team player within a group of passionate instructors and staff.

Additional Training Required:
Must commit to completing Dancing Mind’s Teacher Training and Mentorship programs in October/November 2015.
