Box Rules

In order to ensure we provide you with a fun and safe environment while doing CrossFit, we encourage you to read and abide by the following rules. If someone is new and they miss one please help them out.
  • Safety first!
  • Keep it fun!
  • Make community! Introduce yourself to someone you don’t know every time you come to class.
  • Teamwork! Cheer someone on once you finish your WOD.
  • Watch out for cars when exiting through the loading dock.
  • Treat all equipment as if it were your own. Don’t misuse, mistreat, or mishandle equipment. Remember if you break it – you pay for it.
  • Put equipment away when you’re done (i.e. where you found it!). This includes bumper plates (face up), kettlebells, barbells, foam rollers, lacrosse balls, abmats, collars (closed). You got it; everything you used, just put it away.
  • Clean up your sweat. We know you put your blood, sweat, and tears into your workout. We just ask that you clean it up afterwards. There are Clorox wipes for your convenience.
  • DO NOT slam boxes around. Help us make them last long – please do not bang them into the walls.
  • DO NOT drop empty/unloaded barbells. Have you heard what this sounds like? Not only is it annoying, but it is bad for the barbell. The rubber bumper plates absorb impact. Without them, the collars and bearings of the barbell get ruined.
  • Do not drop kettlebells. We drop weights for safety, not for fun or out of laziness.
  • Chalk belongs in two places…your hands and in the bucket. As much as we like the illusion of snow, it sucks to breath chalk in! Resist the temptation and keep it to the bucket and your hands.
  • The Box is our workout home – keep it clean. Trash goes in the trashcan!
  • Be coachable! You are here to learn, so listen to your coach and don’t disrupt the class!
  • No kids in The Box. At no time are kids allowed on the gym floor or equipment. Period! (We do this to make sure Rule #1 happens!)
