Private Yoga

The study of yoga originated as a dialogue between the guru and the disciple.

Here at Dancing Mind we honor that tradition by offering 1-on-1 private instruction. Private classes can occur in our studio or at your home. Attention is paid to proper alignment, breath and to developing a practice that you can do on your own.

Types of private sessions we offer:

Private Yoga

Explore specific areas of interest such as alignment in asanas, philosophy, meditation, chanting, etc. Work one-one with one of our expert instructors and take your practice to whole new levels of understanding!

Prenatal Yoga

This age-old practice keeps you limber, tones your muscles, and improves your balance and circulation, with little, if any, impact on your joints. Prenatal yoga is also beneficial because it helps you learn to breathe deeply and relax, which will come in handy as you face the physical demands of labor, birth, and motherhood. In fact, one of the first things you learn in a yoga class is how to breathe fully. The breathing technique known as ujjayi requires you to take in air slowly through your nose, filling your lungs, and exhale completely until your stomach compresses.

Yoga for Athletes

Let our expert instructors help you achieve your athletic goals. Yoga makes a perfect companion for athletes by helping you develop concentration through relaxed, deep breathing while it improves balance, strength and flexibility. Yoga is a great low-impact way to cross train. Cross training is necessary for athletes who do the same sport or exercise routine year-round. Adding new exercises can help reduce injury, relieve training boredom, add variety and help recover from hard aerobic or strength workouts.
