Indrani Mondal Remembrance Scholarship

Indrani MondalI have been handed a gift – heightened awareness and gratitude for each breath. I enjoy each breath fully. I take pleasure in thinking, sensing, feeling and moving around. I feel a heightened sense of urgency to pursue dreams and goals. I am making a list of things I want to do – and intend to DO THEM NOW. I am also actively making choices. I am not letting my life, however long it may be, pass me by. – Indrani Mondal, written March 25, 2013

The Sisters of Delta Gamma, Beta Nu Chapter, Carnegie Mellon University, have partnered with Dancing Mind Yoga to establish a scholarship fund for teacher training in honor and memory of Indrani Mondal, a dear friend and DMY teacher.

Indrani completed the 200HR RYT program at DM and soon after became a teacher at the studio. Indrani found great peace and deep satisfaction through her yoga practice, which she sought to share with others through teaching. She touched our lives in so many ways and our goal with this scholarship fund is to sponsor aspiring instructors who embody Indrani’s kindness and generosity of spirit.

The Sisters of Delta Gamma have partnered with DM to sponsor teacher trainees in honor of Indrani. An yearly scholarship will be available. Investing in a teacher who possesses qualities like those of Indrani’s is a gift that will keep on giving.
