FAQ
The questions every evaluation asks
Straight answers for clinical, operations and IT teams, and for families. If yours isn't here, ask us and we'll answer it directly.
Getting started
How do we see the programmes running?
Ask for a demo: in person in Singapore or the UK, or over a video call with your team. Our partnerships team replies within two working days.
What hardware does this run on?
Standalone VR headsets and tablets. No PC, no wires, no technician on standby: each headset runs the full application library on its own. Patients who can't or won't wear a headset use tablets with the same programmes, the same protocol and the same data captured.
What does implementation involve?
Training for your facilitators, an onboarding plan and the session workflow (charging, hygiene, handout) are scoped as part of every deployment. In grant-funded projects they sit inside the funded scope rather than being sold around it.
Clinical & safety
Is DancingMind a medical device?
Yes. The platform is CE-marked (self-certified) and registered as a medical device with Singapore's HSA. Our programmes support screening, therapy and rehabilitation inside professional care settings; they are not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or advice.
Who decides which programmes a patient gets?
Care teams do. Every application is designed with practising clinicians, and programmes are prescribed and overseen by the care team; difficulty then adapts to the patient's measured performance.
What about motion sickness and comfort in VR?
Programmes are designed with clinicians for clinical populations, including older adults, and sessions run under supervision, so comfort is monitored the way any therapy session is. Patients who can't or won't wear a headset can run the same programmes on a tablet without changing the protocol or the data captured.
How are headsets kept clean between patients?
Hygiene is part of the session workflow: headsets are sanitised between uses and handed out ready for one patient or a whole group session. The workflow is covered in facilitator training.
Running sessions
How much staff time does a session take?
The platform is built to extend scarce therapist capacity: in group sessions, one facilitator runs many patients at once, each on their own graded programme, while the dashboard keeps the whole caseload visible at a glance.
Can therapy continue after discharge?
Yes. The same programme continues at home on the same platform, remotely monitored by the care team that prescribed it, so therapy no longer stops at the clinic door.
Funding & pricing
Are there grants that can fund a deployment?
In Singapore, yes: Active Ageing Centres can tap the AAC IT Grant, and community care organisations the Productivity and Digitalisation Grant, among other routes. Our funding and grants page maps the schemes and includes a three-question eligibility check.
How does pricing work?
Deployments are scoped to your setting: the number of participants and devices, the programmes prescribed, and the training and support included. In Singapore, community deployments are often substantially offset by national grants. Talk to us and we'll put a structured quote against your funding route.
Data & privacy
What data does the platform capture, and who controls it?
Sessions capture game performance, motion metrics, in-app assessment scores and mood check-ins, with optional wearable integrations. That data is processed under a data-processing agreement with the deploying care organisation, under Singapore's PDPA and the UK GDPR. We do not sell personal data.

No. Website analytics is cookie-free and aggregated; it does not identify individuals or track you across sites. Enquiries go to our team, not a third-party widget.
